Background
We spotted an opportunity in the NZ market: no advanced e-gifting platform like Korea's Gifticon existed. This system lets people send casual gifts like coffees and donuts to anyone via mobile. After market research, we decided to bring the concept to the NZ market.
Design Scope
As the sole designer, I set up brand identity including logo and app icon. The focus was to convey "happiness", "vibrant", and "warmth" through branding. I referenced the original Gifticon for userflows, which helped us quickly arrive at an MVP.
From Branding to UI
Once the name "Movo" (mobile + voucher) was decided, I created the logo and colour theme. Designing a brand from scratch was one of the best experiences of co-founding a startup.
